From Wade Richards, Missionary with the Archdiocese of Detroit, and facilitator of the Family Meetings:

"A big thank you for all that were able to attend the very first Family Gathering from Holy Trinity Port Huron, St Christopher Marysville, St Edward on the Lake Lakeport, and St Mary Port Huron in the Family of the North East end of the Archdiocese of Detroit.

On April 12, 2021, there were over 80 members of these parishes that were in attendance.  A special thank you to Father Bradley Forintos, Father James Arwady, Father Lee Acervo, and Father Zbigniew Zomerfeld and a band of Joyful Missionary Disciples who pulled off the aggressive timeline for the event.

The first of the three Family Gatherings, which are based on the Detroit Model of Evangelization of Encounter, Grow, Witness, was held via Zoom.  The Encounter theme was twofold.  The first was to Encounter others within the new Family by participating in the session, learning about events of each parish, and then meeting others in break-out rooms.  The second Encounter is to continue to Encounter Jesus in all of those that we meet.  The main thrust from the Unleash the Gospel pastoral letter is for all churches within the Archdiocese of Detroit is to become more like missionaries.

The second Family Gathering, Grow, is scheduled for Monday May 10 @ 6 PM.  If you registered for the first Family Gathering you will automatically receive the link for this session.  If you have not registered yet please use the following link,  Each person must register for the event.  You will need to enter your name, email address and your home parish.

If you were unable to attend the First Gathering, no problem.  You can register and will receive an invite for the second and third Family Gatherings.

The third Family Gathering, Witness, is scheduled for June 21 @ 6 PM but may be changed depending on the safety requirements for meetings.
