Here are some of the activities that were planned at our September meeting. 

 

Festival

On Sunday, September 15, St. Edward’s Festival will begin with a 11:45 AM luncheon (free will offering). The luncheon will be followed with Euchre at 2:30 PM ($5 cost).  Please let Wendy know if you are interested in attending.

 

Game Night at Ann’s Condo

Ann would like to re-schedule her “Game Night” to a “Game Day” activity.  She is cancelling Saturday, September 21, 2019.  Details are being developed.

 

Walk for St. Vincent De Paul

On Saturday, September 28, 2019, there will be walking fund-raising activity for St. Vincent De Paul on Belle Isle. Please consider sponsoring a walker. Contact Nancy for details.

 

Speaker--Immaculee Ilibagiza

On Wednesday, October 2, 2019, at 7:00 p.m. at Holy Trinity (325 32nd Street, Port Huron) Immaculee Ilibagiza will present the topic of “Faith, Hope, and Forgiveness.” Immaculee is a Rwandan genocide survivor and best-selling author of Left to Tell. Movie Night – October 4, 2019

On Friday, October 4, come for Movie Night to see War Room. The movie will begin about 6:40 p.m. in the St. Mary’s Parish office. This Kendrick Brother’s movie highlights the power of prayer in our daily life.

 

Monthly Meeting

On Wednesday, October 9, 2019, at 1:00 PM we will have our monthly meeting in the conference room of the St. Mary’s Parish Office.

 

Make Reservations for Future Events:

Trivia at The Raven. Please let Beth Dolan know if you will be playing Trivia by Thursday of each week, so she can reserve the chairs for the big game each Sunday.  We will continue to play Trivia at The Raven.

 

Cooking Healthy Classes. Michigan State University Extension is offering a 6-week class (nutrition/ tasting class) called “Eat Holiday Healthy” on Thursdays from 1:30 – 2:30 on the following Thursdays, October 10, 17, 24, and November 7, 14, and 21. This 6-week class will be held at the main branch of the library in Port Huron. Make your reservations with MSU/Carol Bublitz at (810) 989-6935.

 

Play Tickets:  Saturday, November 30, 2019, “It’s a Wonderful Life” will be performed at the Riverbank Theatre in Marine City.  The tickets will cost $28 tickets. Call (810) 278-1749. Before the play, we will meet at 4:30 PM for dinner at MC Fish Company. Transportation will be discussed at future meetings.
